We’ve project managed initiatives for Pepsico/BlueBird Foods, including upgrading their Automatic Case Packer on their potato chip line. To help increase throughput and factory efficiencies we also undertook an upgrade on an extrusions factory.

Snack Foods

Our team was engaged on a project to consolidate extrusions production by relocating, combining and upgrading our client's process and packing lines while also improving hygiene standards and enabling operations to run with a reduced crew size.

We also worked with PepsiCo on a project that required the relocation and upgrade of specialised equipment and considerable infrastructure upgrades to increase efficiency on the Doritos tortilla chip line.

TEG Projects were commissioned to redevelop the George Weston Foods Pie Factory. The redevelopment involved reconfiguring the factory design to achieve greater workflow. Edible Fats & Oils

TEG Projects recently undertook a neutralisation project for Graincorp which involved overseeing the establishment of a dedicated soft oil continuous neutralisation processing plant. The plant included a processing system  for the reticulation of bulk crude oil  as well as onsite storage for the same.

We’re often tasked with supporting projects which require environmental certification, or that help our clients reach their sustainability goals.

Project Picasso gave TEG Projects an opportunity to partner with Fonterra on their social responsibility plan which focuses on responsible dairying and improving water quality, an initiative that saw Fonterra receive a Project Management Institute annual award. Our current undertaking with Fonterra involves working collaboratively with eight other highly skilled teams under a newly formed group called the Wastewater Community, to help Fonterra deliver on their wastewater goals.

This wide ranging expertise has allowed us to partner with Fonterra on their Chemical Compound Upgrade which involved removing and replacing the redundant tanks. Fonterra also engaged TEG Projects to project manage the Waitoa Treated Water Plant Upgrade. TEG Projects helped to deliver the project which ensured the potable water from this plant achieved AsureQuality and National Drinking Water standards, as well as increased water treatment and storage capability.

Cold Chain

New technology and systems are at the forefront of the refrigeration industry and a cohesive and comprehensive cold chain solution is essential for compliance. TEG Projects knows how to implement robust technologies for optimised cold chains.

Fonterra engaged TEG Projects to manage an initiative to increase capacity at Fonterra’s Crawford Street Distribution Centre. We helped them increase capacity to 190,000 metric tonnes, the equivalent of around 13,000 twenty-foot shipping containers, enabling dairy products to move faster and more efficiently to port for export.
