Julien Philippin

Project Engineer

Julien brings a dynamic mix of technical expertise, process optimisation, and leadership to his role as Project Engineer at TEG Projects. With a strong background in environmental bioengineering and hands-on project management across pharmaceutical and food manufacturing environments, Julien has successfully delivered a wide range of capital projects, from optimising manufacturing quality by enhancing CIP processes to facility automation and clean utility systems. 

Julien has held key roles across Europe and New Zealand, including positions in automation supervision and project delivery for globally recognised companies. His experience spans vessel inspections, clean-in-place (CIP) systems, and room scanning procedures, all under strict safety compliance requirements. His ability to streamline operations, enhance process reliability, and drive multi-disciplinary teams has made him a valuable asset on both local and international projects.

At TEG Projects, Julien applies his strengths in construction management, commissioning, and technical documentation to support high-performance outcomes for TEG clients.His proactive approach ensures projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and with measurable business benefits.

Outside of work, Julien enjoys hiking, travelling, and scuba diving, and loves discovering new restaurants.

Qualifications include:

Masters in Bioengineering (Environmental Sciences and Technologies), Université Libre de Bruxelles

Specialist fields of activity are:

  • Extensive experience with clean utility systems including CIP, RO, pure steam, process/utility air, and buffer prep

  • Automation system supervision and implementation in food production environments

  • Enhancing operational efficiency through improved P&ID documentation and room scanning for compliance

  • Cross-functional leadership in high-pressure manufacturing settings
