Murray Irvine
Murray joined TEG Projects as a Project Manager and Safety Engineer in 2015, having previously held management roles with Lion Breweries and Bluebird Foods. Murray cut his teeth with Fitting, Turning and Machining qualifications before turning his attention more specifically to engineering management, with a focus on machine safety. As well as being an experienced Project Manager and Safety Engineer for TEG Projects, Murray also has a background in equipment reliability improvement having previously held factory maintenance manager roles.
Since joining the TEG Projects team he has managed projects of various complexity and size from definition to handover. Tasks include scoping, CAPEX development, contracts, and contractor management with work primarily being carried out at Bluebird Foods, and Pepsico plants. This work included an installation of new robotic pick and place packing equipment and new conveyor system, and a factory manufacturing area demolition and refurbishment including new internal building fabric, HVAC, lighting, floors and drainage.
Additionally, Murray is responsible for undertaking machine risk assessments, developing scopes of work and specifications for machine safety upgrades, and preparing machine safety reports for clients including Fonterra, Frucor, ANZCO, Alliance, and Fulton Hogan.
In his spare time Murray enjoys getting out on the water for a spot of fishing, or getting the clubs out at his local golf club.

- Certified Machine Safety Expert (CMSE)
- Master of Engineering Management University of Auckland
- Diploma in Business (Engineering Management) University of Auckland
- Advanced Trade Certificate – Fitting, Turning, and Machining
- Trade Certificate – Fitting, Turning, and Machining
- Second Class Engine Drivers Certificate (steam) NZ Ministry of Transport
